Will autumn be ruined again this year by a seasonal flavor called pumpkin spice? This hideous, abhorrent flavor surfaced a few years ago. It began innocently enough in just a few baked items as extensions of the classic favorite, pumpkin pie.
It has gotten out of hand as dozens of foods and beverages now feature pumpkin spice. Just the thought of it makes me want to toss my cookies (if you get my drift). Pumpkin spice has even shown up in air fresheners with dire consequences seen in this linked story. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4955962/Pumpkin-spice-air-freshener-prompts-evacuation-school.html
But I really lost it when craft beer and cider brewers began to offer taps and bottles to this insulting flavor. https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/10/63-of-the-best-pumpkin-beers-blind-tasted-and-rank.html A boycott is strongly suggested. Are you with me?
I despise the spice!
It doesn’t taste nice.
But we should think twice;
And use it for lice.

Or feed it to mice on a plate of rice. Or roll the dice and try some twice.

I saw a funny sign online about a “Pumpkin Spice Oil Change” in front of a Jiffy Lube. LIfe is good when you can laugh.

Kim, That is funny and you are so right about our needing more laughs in life. I am trying and having some success is shutting out the negative people and haters.

Maybe they should put it in “Old Spice” . . . 🙂

Joe, Does that suggestion mean you like the smell of it? I hope not as our friendship rides on how you answer that question.
