After considerable thought, I have concluded that it is time for me to come out. For years, I have exclusively used Mozilla’s Firefox Internet browser and my search engine choice is Mozilla’s DuckDuckGo.
I feel so much better after sharing my secret. Don’t hate me because I do not use Google Chrome or Microsoft Excel browsers. It is just that I like dependable, fast, private, and secure Internet service and that is exactly what Mozilla provides. There is also something I find compelling about not-for-profit services.
Over the past couple of years, Mozilla has gained momentum by introducing added capability. Their Pockets allow me to see and then store information that I may wish to access again. They offer a stout and reliable VPN. They offer Android and iOS browsers.
Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit and independent provider of these services. It seeks supportive donations from its users. They offer product enhancing fellowships to talented people. Look at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ and appreciate how they explain things as clearly and simply as possible for amateur users like me.
Incidentally, I do not use social media and do not have a cell phone. Next week I will tell you more about how I not only survive but thrive without using or needing to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube, and WhatsApp. (I do admit that my desk top operating system is Microsoft Windows 10.)
